after school club

The after school club gets the children involved in performing music but also learning the basics of music through fun games. We will bring instruments to give them lessons on guitar, violin, keyboards and percussion. They will do at least one performance a year for the rest of the school and one for their family if the school permits it. The children will be encouraged to bring out their own individuality but also work as a team. If they have their own instruments the are welcome to bring them along.
They will also put together dance routines. The way they are taught will even have the boys joining in.

In most areas we normally have a P1 and P2 class which runs first for about 30 to 40 minutes and then the P3 to P7 class starts after that and lasts for an hour. In most areas we have not increased our prices in over a year and a half as it is important to us that we remain affordable, however we do ask that the classes are paid in advance for either a half term or a full term. If your child no longer wishes to attend a refund will be given with one weeks notice.

We have a group guitar class that runs after Kids Rock at Corstorphine. It is a more affordable way to give your child a lesson and is also sometimes a more fun environment for the children to learn. At the moment Kirsty will teach all the group guitar classes with another co-ordinator on helping hand.

They will learn chords structures and guitar tabs and another benefit of learning with others is that they will learn to play together.

They must have their own guitar to enable them to practise at home and these classes also must be paid in advance.
