Kirsty
Kids Rock was my concept and it's an idea that I am very passionate about.
I am a working singer / musician and have played all over Scotland at venue's ranging from corporate hotels to weddings. I wouldn't be able to do this job if music hadn't been an important department in my school when I was a young. Some schools are lucky and they have great music departments, some don't really have the budget for it and it is maybe taught by another teacher already overloaded with other parts of the curriculum and also possibly without musical knowledge.

Leylah is a student and very involved in amateur dramatics.

Lauren is mum also has a part time job and works with Kids Rock in Fox Covert Primary on a Monday.

Rachel is our newest member of staff. She plays the violin and sings and is learning the guitar.

Liza has worked with me from the concept of Kids Rock and has been invaluable in many areas such as administrative, resourcing and the classes themselves.

Helen is a professional musician and plays 2 or 3 times a week all over Scotland. She plays guitar and sings.

Staff that work for Kids Rock will have enhanced disclosure and at least one of the co-ordinators will have public liability insurance and a child protection and anti bullying certificate. They will all be trained according to Kids Rock standards and will either have experience in music or child care.

They will always work in groups of 2, sometimes 3 depending on class sizes and there will always be one musician in every pairing.
