The Teachers

Kirsty is a singer/songwriter?performer and plays piano/keyboards and guitar. Over the years she has had the pleasure of playing in a variety of venues all over the country ranging from weddings, holiday camps, castles and piano bars. She has an O Level and Higher music and also a HND in modern musicianship and is also an experienced vocal coach.

Music and musical instruments are her passion and is as happy with an accoustic guitar as she is using pc software to programme and write her own material.

The first time she had a audience full of kids, she wasn't expecting it. Kirsty was used to performing to adults and this particular day she was thrown in at the deep end in a holiday kids club. She walked in and straight back out again stating 'I can't go in there, there are children' That day she learned a valuable lesson, kids love music too and are far more uninhibited than grown-ups and therefore the easiest audience to have. They want to participate: Give them a tambourine and they'll rattle it till you take it from them. Show them some dance moves and they will give you two more. If you let them use a microphone, they become Kylie or Robbie and you have a friend for life.

Kirsty has now found another passion and that is Kids Rock. 'The co-ordinators have just as much fun as the children at Kids Rock and that is the way it should be' If anyone feels they have what it takes to join our growing family please get in touch.

Claire who was with Kirsty at the start of Kids Rock has since moved back to England but fully deserves a mention on this page just for being there at the beginning and for all her support, experience and ideas. Who knows maybe one day we will see her running her own Kids Rock in Manchester?

Since Stacey came on board earlier this year she has become a firm favourite with the children. Even if they are a little confused that she has now dyed her hair black. Her enthusiasm and disregard for making a fool of herself makes my job alot easier.
